God Is With You In Everything You Do

At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his forces said to Abraham, ‘God is with you in everything you do. Now swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or my descendants. Show to me and the country where you are living as an alien the same kindness I have shown to you.’ (Genesis 21:22)

 

“GOD IS WITH YOU IN EVERYTHING YOU DO,” said Abimelech and Gen. Phicol to Abraham. It was evident to them the intense favor of God upon the man of faith.

If you have the faith of Abraham, and the favor of God that comes with it, the people around you would notice that God is with you in everything you do. And because of this they would respect you, and even fear to do something wrong with you.

 

Grace Is Greater Than Sin

“I will make the son of the maidservant into a nation also, because he is your offspring.” (Genesis 21:13)

 

When God blessed Abraham. every person related to him were also blessed. This includes even the people which are fruit of Abraham and Sarah’s mistake–Hagar and Ishmael. That’s how intense God’s favor on Abraham was.

If you have the faith of Abraham, and the favor of God that comes with it, you will be surrounded with God’s blessings. The people around you would be blessed, even to those of which you have a not-so-good experience with (e.g. live-in partner and a child out of wedlock). I believe that THE GRACE OF GOD IS GREATER THAN SIN.

 

God Brought Sarah Laughter

Sarah said, ‘God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.’ And she added, ‘Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.’ (Genesis 21:6, 7)

 

I believe that the blessing of Abraham brings joy. And this joy is not caused by natural means. Sarah gave birth to healthy child way past her child-bearing years! Abraham was 100 years old and he was still able to impregnate Sarah!

When God promises you something, hold on to it in faith. It might seem like it’s far from coming to pass, but be assured that God’s timing are precise, and His ways are wiser than ours (Isaiah 55:8, 9). And when the promise comes, it would bring “supernatural” joy to you and other people.
